Coding

for the young (5-8 yrs old)

Coding is becoming a new essential skill! Much like writing helps organize thoughts and express ideas, coding (or computer programming) serves as a new form of literacy. Previously, coding was considered too challenging for many, but we believe it should be accessible to everyone, just like writing. With Scratch Jr, an interactive coding program designed for young children aged 5-8, they can now create their own engaging stories, animations, and games.

Children will learn coding in enjoyable and interactive way, enabling them to create, solve problems, design projects, and express themselves creatively. Additionally, they will develop sequencing skills crucial for future academic success while using math and language in a relevant and motivating context, fostering early numeracy and literacy. They are not just learning to code; they are coding to learn.

Kids can connect graphical programming blocks like Lego to make characters move, jump,, and sing. They can customize characters in the paint editor, add their own voices and sounds, and even insert their photos—then use programming blocks to bring their characters to life. Coding literacy is a vital skill to help future-proof your child!
